A matching pair of magnificent cast iron horse head statues. Both have quite the same lovely detail to the muzzle, the eye and eager looking pricked ears. Both are weighty, being forged from heavy duty cast iron. Intricate detailing on each pair with the weathered rusty finish offering naturally beautiful vintage appearance.

Ideal either side of gateposts, or mounted as impressive standalone equine features on fence posts or raised surfaces throughout your outside area.

Maintenance

Our cast iron and aluminium garden statue range needs very little maintenance. Once the verdigris or rust finish have been applied, over time each piece will develop its own unique patina based on the conditions the surface of the metal is exposed to.

If left in a damp wet environment such as a pond, moss will likely grow. In dry weather the surface texture and colour will become more weathered.

Whilst the rusty finish tends to be more desired, you can paint over the rust if you’re looking for a smoother unformed finish. simply apply a primer to the surface before painting.
