Cast Iron Pig

A lovely cast iron pig, based on the traditional and much loved farmyard animal, our pigs are strong, robust and heavily built, unlike the cold cast iron options elsewhere.  Left untreated for a natural, rustic appearance. These two pigs have a charming and earthy appeal, a real sense of the farm.

Being tough enough to withstand the elements means our pig could be happy in all sorts of outside settings. Placing one by the back door and think what a great characterful doorstop it could make, or displayed by the pots or tools or vegetables. Inside or out it’s a pleasure to see such a pig wherever it goes.

Maintenance

Our cast iron and aluminium garden statue range needs very little maintenance. Once the verdigris or rust finish have been applied, over time each piece will develop its own unique patina based on the conditions the surface of the metal is exposed to.

If left in a damp wet environment such as a pond, moss will likely grow. In dry weather the surface texture and colour will become more weathered.

Whilst the rusty finish tends to be more desired, you can paint over the rust if you’re looking for a smoother unformed finish. simply apply a primer to the surface before painting.
