This hippo sculpture is a glorious depiction of a very aggressive looking hippopotamus. As is characteristic of hippos those huge jaws are held wide open and teeth are bared.

The sculpture itself captures that sense of menace and danger. Folds of its hide are clearly defined in the casting. And it is solidly fashioned from cast aluminium then painted in bronze tones with extra detail being etched by hand. So it is made to be as tough and heavy duty as befits such an immense wild animal. All of which makes it easily durable enough to display outside or to bring indoors and create a striking ornamental feature.
