Cast iron is renowned for its exceptional durability and resistance to corrosion, making it an ideal material for post boxes, which are exposed to the elements.

Its strength ensures that your post box can withstand harsh weather conditions, without corrosion or structural wear.

Absolutely, all of our boxes are carefully primed before being powder coated. This technique of priming and then powder coating offers excellent long term adhesion. This means our post boxes can withstand a range of weather conditions, from rain and snow to intense sunlight.

Caring for your post box is simple and straightforward.

We recommend regularly wiping down the post box with a damp cloth to remove dirt or debris. If you live in a coastal area, more frequent cleaning may be required to protect against the salty air.

For cast iron and steel post boxes, it’s important to touch up any scratches or chips in the paintwork promptly to prevent rust. If rust does appear, gently sand the affected area and apply a matching metal paint to cover it.

Ensure you do not use corrosive cleaners, as these can damage the material and paint finish.

Our post boxes are finished with a very durable powder coated paint, which is designed to resist weathering, chipping, and fading.

This type of finish not only enhances the post box’s appearance but also contributes to its longevity by providing an additional layer of protection against rust and corrosion.

Each post box comes with two stainless steel bitted keys, allowing for a spare in case one is lost.

Yes, for post boxes that feature a collection times slip at the front, simply loosen the four bolts on the inside of the door.

This will release the cast iron housing that holds the collection slip, allowing you to replace it with something more personalised.

We are working to offer this service in the future, however we are not currently offering custom colours or bespoke changes to the post box designs.

It is entirely based on where you wish to position your post box. Stands are suitable for making a standalone feature, whereas wall mounts are the obvious choice for wall fixing. Please bear in mind that it is front heavy, it needs adequate support if fixed to a wall

If you’re choosing a post box with pre-drilled holes on the rear of the box, a wall mount/stand will not be necessary.
