Large Cast Iron Garden Hand Pump
A hand pump that works as well as it looks. Moulded from an original classic design in strong cast iron and finished in matte black, this large pump is fully functioning, so it can be a useful feature in the garden as well as a characterful one.
Connect it to a suitable pipe and use it for real, or leave it as a purely decorative piece. It can also run as a water feature with a continuous flow of water once the inner valve mechanism has been removed.
To connect a hosepipe, it needs a 1¼ inch British Standard Pipe (BSP) thread (41.91mm / 1.65 inch). If you're pumping water from anything deeper than 60cm, we recommend fitting a foot valve (a non-return valve) at the bottom of the delivery pipe, as is common practice with well pumps.
It stands 64cm tall on a 16cm base and weighs 10kg.
