'Lichfield' Hand Forged Iron Candlesticks | Set of Three

Lichfield Cathedral is the only medieval cathedral in England with three spires. Known locally as the Ladies of the Vale, they have risen above the Staffordshire city for centuries.

This set of candle holders takes its shape from that skyline, three slender stems of different heights, each finished with a flared cup that holds a taper candle.

Each candlestick is made entirely by hand from wrought iron. The hammer marks on the cup, stem and base come from shaping the metal with traditional blacksmith techniques.

As a result, the texture varies from piece to piece, and no two sets are exactly alike.

A broad hammered base keeps each one steady on a mantelpiece, dining table or deep windowsill.

Line them up with the tallest in the centre, cluster them on a sideboard, or spread them along a table to catch the light at three levels.

To extend the look, each height is also available as a matching pair.
