'Wortley' Forged Pillar Candle Holders | Iron Candle Stand

The Wortley range takes its name from Wortley Top Forge in South Yorkshire, one of England's historic ironworks, where wrought iron was worked from the 1600s.

This pair of tiered floor standing pillar candle holders is a nod to that heritage, forged by hand using traditional blacksmith techniques.

Hammer marks run from the base right up to the candle plate of each holder. That traditional finish sits on a clean, contemporary outline of a slender straight stem, a flat round base and a wide top plate.

Placed side by side, the two heights create a staggered glow that looks as at home in a modern hallway as beside a period fireplace.

Solid wrought iron makes each holder strong and hard wearing, while the broad base keeps it steady on the floor.

A central spike holds the pillar candle firmly in place, and the wide top plate catches falling wax before it drips. 

For a more symmetrical arrangement, each height is also available as a matching pair.
